Address them as “Dear MP not found”, or “Dear MP not found”

Introduce yourself and say something about your family, community, or your faith.

Comitments

Remind them that both the Government and the Opposition promised that religious freedoms would not go backwards.

Concerns

Tell them you are concerned about the “Hate Crimes” bill.

The bill has been rushed and not had enough time to be examined by faith communities.
The bill has serious problems and risks unintended consequences.
If it were extended to include religion, gender and sexuality it would clearly break the Government’s and Opposition’s promises

Request

Ask them not to pass the bill this week, but to take the time to consult widely and get the bill right.

Include your name and address, so they know you are a member of their electorate.
