Example letter

This letter is provided as an example. It is always best to write your own letter, however this example is based on a few of the discussion points above and is provided to help you start.

If you are basing your letter off this template, make sure you replace the sections in **{brackets}**

Dear ,
or Dear ,

****{Introduce yourself and say something about your family, community, or your faith}****

Congratulations on your successful election win and the expansion of the Government majority. Your commitments to protect religious freedom are notable and I appreciate the assurance that religious freedom will not go backwards. The intention to progress a religious discrimination bill in collaboration with faith leaders is encouraging and suggests a thoughtful approach to this complex issue. It's heartening to hear that any legislation impacting religious freedom will involve bipartisan collaboration with the Coalition, and not be a negotiation with the Greens, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive dialogue.

I am keen to see the Government uphold these promises, which reflect a commitment to inclusivity and respect for diverse beliefs. This approach could strengthen community ties and foster mutual understanding across different faiths and perspectives. Rest assured of my prayers as you serve the community and strive to do what is best for all Australians.
